Dawson’s attended a vacant apartment in Southbank after the real-estate agents reported a cockroach infestation. Upon inspection, Dawson’s identified an extensive population of German Cockroaches (Blattella Germanica spp.) which would require immediate professional cockroach control.

About German Cockroaches

German cockroaches are often found to be a major problems in restaurants, commercial kitchens, cafes, pubs, and also in our homes. These creatures are prolific breeders and have the ability to live in ovens and refrigerators. Why are these ones out during the day?

Cockroaches are typically nocturnal, so the few cockroaches you may see by day likely means they were forced out by overcrowding; a probable sign of severe levels of infestation.

Normally, German Cockroaches will exist around areas that can provide them with shelter and warmth, such as fridges, ovens, sinks, and other appliances. In this case, the populations in these areas had grown so large that the cockroaches were forced into far less suitable areas, as pictured in the cornices, and above blinds. For this to happen, a population must be very large and extensive.
